About Me

Thank you for visiting my website. I am thrilled to share my art with you!

Ever since I was a child I loved to draw, starting in preschool when I drew innumerable princesses in crayon. Raised with animals, I got my first cat at 11 years old, a beloved white shorthair named Abercrombie. I’ve had many cats since and marvel how they each have such a distinct personality. I adore dogs and aspire to own one soon, although it’s hard to choose which breed! Today, my family has two cats - Señor and Lobster.

I have drawn, painted and even sculpted in the past and have a deep love for decorative arts and design.  While I may be newer to watercolor as a medium, I bring a lifetime of artistic exploration and a natural gift for capturing the spirit of each animal to my work. I am particularly good at capturing eyes! And watercolor is an endlessly fascinating and luminous medium.

Raised mostly in Texas and now living in the San Francisco Bay area, I have a BA in French and Masters in Historic Preservation. My earlier career was inspired by a love of history and architectural beauty. As a concerned environmentalist, I have volunteered to raise awareness of endangered species and founded a local weekly beach cleanup.

Yet art keeps luring me back - and I enjoy depicting animals, landscapes and various scenes from traveling with my French husband and two children. I look forward to capturing your pet’s true spirit in a unique watercolor painting!
